Cause & Purpose: Artificial Intelligence in the Social Impact Sector and the Why Behind Altruous with Jim Carter III

Oct 21, 2025

After a brief hiatus, we’ve begun releasing new episodes of Cause & Purpose. The first episode of the batch features AI expert and thought-leader Jim Carter III. Jim has been supporting impact organizations through technology for years, and is the perfect person to answer many of the AI-related questions we’ve been hearing from our community. We talk about possible uses for AI, and how impact leaders can put it to work immediately within their organizations.

We also took this as a rare opportunity to talk about Altruous during the podcast. Jim has been one of our closest advisors since our inception, and it was great to be able to share the founding story in this format.

Hope you enjoy it!
